London Fashion Week Spring 2016 Hits and Misses (Forum Buzz)

That’s all for London, folks. Designers pushed the boundaries of color and silhouette and the tough critics on our forums took notice. Burberry Prorsum was praised for looking less “designed by committee,” while London staple Christopher Kane was accused of losing focus after an infusion of investment money from the Kering Group. But still, there were lots of pretty things to fawn over. Here’s a look at London’s last round of hits and misses.

Burberry Prorsum

Best Burberry collection in years. Love the mix of masculine and feminine. All of this is super versatile and wearable.” [HeatherAnne]

“I’m positively surprised by this. It’s a step in a good direction especially when compared to the snooze fest that has been the last 4 years. He’s starting to get his mojo back.” [ogepma]

“The coats ♥ and I am in love with everything white…I think it will be a big trend now.” [gossiping]

“Love this, so pretty and the colours are gorgeous.” [Nomar]

“The wide pant with line-detail is great and so are the feathery dresses/skirts. She definitely created something unique.” [|PerfectTonight|]

“Absolutely beautiful! Consistent with her image yet not repetitive. I think she is quite underrated.” [ogepma]

Peter Pilotto

“Best collection in LFW so far! I love it! Maybe the most clever interpretation of the ‘ruffle/shoulders’ detail. It’s so exquisite! Peter Pilotto is what Altuzarra wishes to be! Beyond chic!” [Lola701]

“They have a very solid idea of who their customer is and they somehow find ways to be consistently interesting. This is absolutely sublime. I can’t find any fault in it mostly because of how confident it is.” [ogepma]

“Some pretty things. Excellent use of zips throughout. Would love a couple of these cardigans. And nice emphasis on shoulders too.” [Not Plain Jane]
