Chanel Transports Us to the South of France With Its Cruise 2022 Campaign

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin are still Chanel’s go-to photographers. Virginie Viard continues to enlist the Dutch photographic duo to capture the label’s campaigns and the partnership is proving to be a match made in heaven. From the first official outing in Fall 2020 to the glitzy Spring 2021 offering to the series for the brand’s iconic 11.12 handbag and an alpine adventure for Fall 2021. Now the French fashion house welcomes the pair back for Cruise 2022. Taking us to the South of France, Anna Ewers, Lola Nicon, Louise de Chevigny and Mahany Pery roam the beach in the chic campaign images.

The ads immediately ignited debate on our forums. “By Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin again! They can do no wrong with Chanel,” declared berbe.

“I’m starting to share the same sentiment,” replied vogue28. “Campaign after campaign, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin continue to present themselves as the perfect choice for Virginie Viard’s vision and just as I was sold on Fall 2021, I’m instantly sold on the outcome of this, too. The color photographs are quite cinematic.”

“Happy to see Anna again for Chanel! She and the others look great! I love the model choice,” admired Bombshell1.

“Louise is the perfect Chanel woman,” THD96 pointed out.

“Louise, Mahany and Anna look amazing, Anna’s best pictures in ages,” noted dontbeadrag.

The focus soon shifted to the collection itself. “It’s a shame that the clothes are so bad,” voiced reese06.

“Even pro photographers can’t save the ugly clothes,” stated Mody.

“I don’t hate it, Anna Ewers actually looks good as do the rest of the models. The clothes are Fashion Nova or Wish levels of cheap, though,” YohjiAddict chimed in.
