We just love whenever one of our favorite fashion glossies celebrates homegrown talent (like Kate Moss on British Vogue or Gisele Bündchen fronting Vogue Brazil). Vogue Spain clearly loves Blanca Padilla with the Spanish model gracing the Spanish fashion bible several times. Now she returns to cover the mag for June 2021. Captured by Miguel Reveriego and styled by Juan Cebrian, Blanca wears a look from Hermes’ Spring 2021 collection for the joyous cover image.
The cover immediately sparked debate on our forums. “Radiant smile, but outtake at best,” critiqued MON.
“Radiant smile, but I am not sure this works as a cover for me. There’s too much empty space around her and you barely notice the text over the print of her outfit. Not a fan…” aracic chimed in.
“You have all this blank space yet you choose to place the few lines of text on a busy patterned shirt,” wrote mikel.

WAVES was also frustrated: “The masthead over Blanca’s forehead does not look great, either. It’s a nice cover nevertheless, very Vogue Spain (as it should be) and Blanca’s smile radiates.”
“Beautiful picture, but the yellow masthead is not sitting right,” echoed Urban Stylin.
“Her beautiful smile saves this dismal cover!” said bluestar.
“Simply gorgeous cover!” admired liberty33r1b.
“Love it. Always great to see Blanca working it,” added FashionMuseDior.
