We called it a few months back that Kendall Jenner would soon be scoring the cover of Vogue Japan and our suspicions were confirmed earlier today. Kendall has indeed scored the cover of the Japanese title’s recently unveiled November issue. It was about time the Esteé Lauder spokesperson and world’s highest paid model landed a solo cover, having previously only shared the cover of Vogue with BFF Gigi Hadid, who already has three major solo Vogue covers under her belt. Shot by photographic duo Luigi and Iango, Kendall was sure to go down a treat on our forums, right?
Our forums soon erupted — just in the worst way possible. “It’s such a shame that every photo she takes is absolutely terrible. If she’s going to be everywhere I’d rather her actually look good,” slammed a disinterested jnobis.
“She looks like a victim of some sort. Awful photo,” commented a disapproving TREVOFASHIONISTO.
Marc10 wasn’t willing to show much enthusiasm either, adding, “Really don’t know what’s worse, her expression or that hat.”
“Her sad Bambi expression paired with that roadkill on her head is priceless,” Melancholybaby mocked.
Also not having any of it was justaguy: “Once again, Jenner with the same old expression as she’s had on every other photo.”
“That’s so bad! I will never understand why they keep working with her,” said Oxymore, airing the same uninterested attitude.
Ouch. Await the content of Vogue Japan’s November 2015 issue and get in on the action here.
