Rebecca Taylor is diving headfirst into summer with a new swimwear collaboration. For her foray into beachwear, the ready-to-wear designer teamed up with fashion publicist and designer Gabby Sabharwal of Giejo on a mix-and-match capsule collection that’s as fun as it is functional.
“I always felt swimwear was a natural extension for our brand and thought it would be fun to collaborate with Giejo as they have a unique perspective in the swim market,” said Rebecca. “I love the idea behind interchangeable and multifunctional swim pieces that you can customize to your body type.”
The limited-edition line features Gabby’s signature figure-flattering silhouettes and Rebecca’s novel prints, which were inspired by vintage Indian dresses that Rebecca’s mom used to wear in the 1970s. You’ll find lavender and blue paisley, leopard, and bold fuchsia florals.
“I have always been inspired by not only Rebecca’s aesthetic, unique point of view in the contemporary market and her ability to create vibrant and innovative prints, but also by her nurturing and encouraging nature as a designer and mentor – which is rare to find in fashion,” said Gabby. “It is an honor to collaborate with her on such an exciting collection.”
The Rebecca Taylor x Giejo swim collection is priced between $100 and $125 for separates, and is available now at Rebecca Taylor stores and on RebeccaTaylor.com.
