Luciano Soprani presented a collection of architectural silhouettes, clean cut tailoring, and a touch of futuristic geometric shapes.
Embroidered pareos draped on the neck with geometrical flower’s prints and patterns in a slightly oriental style.
Everything in his Spring/Summer collection comes in pastel tones, neutral colours combined with light blue, orange, and of course the always present black – this time with splashes of silver giving sharpness and elegance.
He shows the three-piece outfit as the basic idea. An outfit of skirt, vest and a blazer with box sleeves; balancing perfectly the feminine and masculine side of his woman.
Also featured were tubular long trousers with a waist belt as a new element, creating lineal and somehow minimal figures, and the smart use of layers in organza brought softness into the looks.
The highlights of his collection are the embroideries, sequins, applications and patch work (using grapes as principal motif) in dresses, jackets and blouses, making them shine with a metallic look. Accessories such as big bracelets with gems helped push forward his simplicity.
The ethereal summer mood is both subverted and emphasized by the retro-futurist allusions, less soft and a bit more aggressive.
