Miranda Kerr has gone all prim and proper on us at an autograph signing in South Korea yesterday, for lingerie company Wonderbra. Hardly the brand to whip out the I’m-a-graceful-lady attire for, but Miranda did look stunning in the textured crop and pencil skirt combo.
She wasn’t completely innocent, though, opting for an angular midriff-baring crop to show some skin. There’s also that super-sexy hip pop complete with a sultry stare, that will forever remind us of the 31-year-old’s racy photoshoots and rumoured love triangles.
We loved the subtle incorporation of prints, like the gold jacquard pattern on the Emma Cook midi skirt and the snakeskin pointed-toe pumps. Miranda topped it all off with a super sweet pink lip, because if you’re going to try the ladylike thing you’ve got to go all out.
Ruby Rose and Kelly Osbourne crossed paths at Sydney Airport today. It should have been all smiles, but Ruby didn’t like what they heard while in customs. According to her Twitter account, a “pig” directed unsavoury comments towards Kelly, saying, “ew that’s not how a woman should look.” Shame on you pig-person, whoever you may be. (more…)
Last night we were let in to the “real” world of Sara Donaldson, Margaret Zhang, Zanita Whittington, Kate Waterhouse and Amanda Shadforth, when new doco-series Fashion Bloggers premiered on our television screens. If you missed the riveting first episode we’re here to fill you in, one designer name-drop at a time. (more…)
Are we experiencing a Taylor Swift overload this month? Taylor currently fronts the November issues of both U.K. Vogue and U.S. InStyle promoting her upcoming album, and now she stars on Harper’s Bazaar Germany’s cover. This time around, the “Shake It Off” singer is photographed by Paola Kudacki for a classic studio sitting, but with a modern twist thanks to the styling. Taylor sports a choppy hairstyle on both the newsstand (pictured below) and subscriber’s covers. The cover story is sure to be a hit if the images are anything to go by.

Members of our forums were first introduced to the subscriber’s cover and immediately began to discuss. “First British Vogue and now this, she is producing some great work lately,” approved marsnoop2.
“Finally something different and actually taking advantage of Taylor’s ability to model. Love it!” commented a satisfied TaylorBinque.
MON also shared a positive attitude and wrote, “Wow! This is really beautiful!”
In the same frame of mind was Anna147: “I’m glad that the magazines try to do something different and fresh and I didn’t get bored of her. It also looks great!!”
Yet things started to turn sour when KateTheGreatest posted, “Really like this cover. And I like Taylor, but it’s too much at this point, she is EVERYWHERE.”
Miss Dalloway responded in agreement: “My god so sick of her everywhere already! Is this a reprint or an original shoot for them? Either way, NOT a cover worthy shot!”
The newsstand cover soon surfaced inside the thread. Benn98 appeared satisfied as he raved, “Ja! This looks awesome!! Love it, the hair, minimal text, quirky composition. I imagine she’s got the November jewellery edit. For once I’m satisfied with the newsstand cover.”
See inside the thread for the subscriber’s cover as you await Taylor’s accompanying cover story, and join the discussion here.
Baz Luhrmann‘s much-anticipated Chanel No. 5 short starring Gisele Bündchen is finally here – and it’s heavy on the Gatsby undertones. The film depicts a brooding Michiel Huisman trying to lure Giselle away from her husband and kid to be with him because he loves her. Yes, it sounds a lot like The Great Gatsby, a story Luhrmann adapted for the screen last year, and the similarities are not lost on the director.
“They [Gisele and mystery husband] live in the Hamptons. They cross that same bridge the Buchanans do. They spend time in New York nightclubs. They’ve hit a spot in their marriage,” he told the Telegraph. Does Daisy love her husband or not? That’s the question Fitzgerald leaves unanswered…but, really, this is about updating what we did with Nicole. Back then it seemed right to put work at the forefront. Now? It seemed more honest for her to have doubts. The idea of having it all and what that means seems interesting…”
The three-minute film has Luhrmann’s signature dazzling visuals and, of course, Gisele looks absolutely gorgeous through the whole thing. Check it out above.
