Goop Pop Is Coming to Dallas

Hold on to your boots y’all because Gwyneth Paltrow is headed to Texas. The actress and lifestyle guru is opening another Goop pop-up shop in Dallas next Monday, brining her pricey stackable book sets and designer exclusives to the southwest. Goop pop, as it is called, will set up shop in Highland Park, about three miles north of Dallas’ city center. The lifestyle site tapped Dallas’ Michelle Nussbaumer to design the store, which will carry home wares, clothes, accessories and beauty items from Calvin Klein Home, Claire Vivier, RMS Beauty, Stella McCartney and more.

Goop will also use the pop-up as an opportunity to unveil its latest collaboration with Monique Lhuillier, which according to the designer, promises a “modern take on day to evening looks.” Fortunately, for those of us not living in Dallas, the collection will also be available at the Goop website.

The shop will remain open until December 14 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and Sunday between 12 and 5 p.m.

Goop opened a pop-up earlier this year in Brentwood. Could a permanent standalone be in our future? We’ll have to wait and see…

A Fresh-Faced Jennifer Aniston Makes the Cover of Harper’s Bazaar (Forum Buzz)

Anne Hathaway’s very festive cover of Harper’s Bazaar will soon disappear from newsstands as we’re already moving on to the next issue! Jennifer Aniston stars on the magazine’s December/January issue shot by Alexi Lubomirski, wearing a white jumpsuit from Balmain for the newsstand cover image. The star of Horrible Bosses 2 also poses for Lubomirski inside the issue, photographed in true Melvin Sokolsky fashion, captured inside a glass bubble under clear blue skies.

Members of our forums are starting to digest Jennifer’s latest cover. “YES!! I was secretly hoping for Vogue, but this will suffice. She looks hot on this cover. And for once her body is unobstructed with text,” raved Benn98, who got the thread off on a positive note.

“Huge kudos for allowing her to keep wrinkles around her eyes. The ed is very generic, but Jennifer glows, I have to say this year she doesn’t feel like she has been on that many covers, so it’s nice to see her,” echoed Miss Dalloway.

“Gorgeous shots of Jennifer in the white background! Lovely work to end the year!” enthused miguelalmeida.

The cover doesn’t sit well with the rest of us, though. “I’ve seen this cover before. It’s nothing new, a tacky Jennifer. Feels old,” disapproved la veronika.

“Who pitches these editorial ideas to Glenda? And most importantly, why does she approve them? I feel like I’ve seen this type of idiotic concept in Bazaar at least three other times,” proclaimed an uninterested Melancholybaby.

KissMiss thinks “the editorial is kind of laughable.”

Details on One of Karlie Kloss’ Victoria’s Secret Looks, and What She’ll Be Doing Once the Show is Over

You would think the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was happening tomorrow, with all the sneak peeks and tidbits that have been leaking out this week. Not that we’re complaining. It’s one of the most watched fashion shows in the world, and all eyes will be on London to see what the lingerie retailer whips up this year. Still, we’ve got a little less than a month before the big day (the show will air December 9) and the models’ outfits are just starting to come together. InStyle caught up with VS Angel Karlie Kloss during her fitting, as she tried on her dragon fly-inspired look, designed by Serkan Kura.

Kloss will wear the outfit to close out the Dream Girl sub-collection, a portion of the show which the model says will have “really good” music. But after the confetti is thrown and the angel wings are dismantled, what’s a Victoria’s Secret model to do? “Devour pizza at the after party,” Karlie said. “That’s what I do, anyways! Because I push myself to sort of just try and feel as strong and as confident as I can out on the runway, so I generally am working out even more than usual and my appetite is even more than usual.”

By the end of the big show, she’ll have earned it!

Alessandra Ambrosio Launches Swimwear

If there’s anything Alessandra Ambrosio knows how to do, it’s model swimsuits. As a veteran model and Victoria’s Secret Angel, it’s clear that she can work her way around a bikini. It is only fitting then that Alessandra would add a swimwear range to her ále by Alessandra collection, for which she launched a 75-piece offering this week.

The range, which includes two-pieces, one-pieces and cover-ups, is divided into eight sub-collections. You’ll find tribal print, butterfly, tie-dye and paisley prints as well as solid pieces you can mix and match. “I wanted to do something that was very bohemian and chic at the same time, and [with] all the different cuts… there’s something for all different bodies,” she told WWD. The range is priced a little steep, but not unaffordable, with prices starting at $180 and peaking at $240 for any of the swimsuits. For a cover-up, expect to pay between $120 and $300.

You can shop the collection at Everything But Water boutiques.

Kati Nescher Wears Gucci Spring 2015 on the December Cover of Vogue Germany (Forum Buzz)

It’s not even Christmas and magazines are already showing the Spring 2015 collections. Vogue Germany’s December cover was styled by the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Christiane Arp, who decided to put cover girl Kati Nescher in a spring dress by Gucci. The model sits perched on a wooden chair, giving a warm smile for the lens of Giampaolo Sgura.

The publication’s efforts haven’t paid off, however, as most of our forum members are not impressed. “Love Kati, don’t love this cover. It’s appropriate for the Holidays, but those colors make it look 90s,” disapproved anlabe32.

GlamorousBoy simply posted the word “catastrophe” inside the thread. Ouch!

“What were they thinking? Everything about this except for Kati is disastrous,” complained Royal-Galliano.

Also not an admirer of the cover was orchidee: “Way too busy. Someone got carried away with the eyebrow pencil. And they really should have picked one color for the (excessive amount of) text.”

“I don’t understand how one shoots this and thinks it’s a Vogue cover. It looks like a bad catalog shot. Poor Kati,” wrote an unsatisfied Nepenthes.

Discussion soon moved to the abilities of Giampaolo Sgura with Melancholybaby commenting, “Someone take the camera away from this hack.”

“My thoughts exactly. I can’t understand why fashion magazines still hire him,” replied Creative in agreement.

Here’s the Bag North West Painted for Kim Kardashian — and It’s Not a Birkin

Kim Kardashian basically received the most Kanye-ish birthday gift of all time: A very, very expensive Hermes bag painted by her daughter North West. The reality star said hubby Kanye presented her with the carryall, which she initially thought was done by an up-and-coming artist. “And on my computer was this message that said ‘Play,’ and it was a video of my daughter sitting outside painting the purse,” Kim told Us. It’s all very adorable.

Kim was spied carrying the bag yesterday while out and about with hubby Kanye, so we get our first look at North’s artistic flair.

The strangest part about this whole thing is that the bag was originally reported to be a Birkin — but it’s not. Still, some outlets continue to refer to it as such, though the style of Kim’s bag is decidedly different from what a Birkin looks like. (more…)
