Isabel Lucas’ Boho-Grandma Outfit for Michael Kors’ Young Hollywood Launch Has Our Heads in a Spin

We’re pretty sure Isabel Lucas has nailed the boho-goddess look yet again, for Michael Kors‘ celebration of the Claiborne Swanson Frank’s Young Hollywood launch on October 2, but we can’t be 100 per cent certain.

The Australian beauty donned a long-sleeve floral maxi dress, with more ruffles than even our grandmothers can handle. She used a thick camel-toned belt with a statement diamond buckle to cinch in her waist, and opted for two-strap nude heels to finish the look off with an element of modernity.

We can’t think of any other famous face which could pull off this outfit quite like Isabel, and we’re still pleasantly confused by her attire. We’d love to hear your thoughts, because this whole look has our heads in a spin.

Watch: Lil Jon, Lena Dunham and Ireland Baldwin Turn Up for Rock the Vote

Rock the Vote is leaning on tried and true tactics to get young folks to put down their iPhones and actually show up to vote for the midterm elections. Take a summer hit, remix it so it’s relevant to the cause, add a bunch of young, cool celebrities and voila! You’ve got a PSA that will at worst go viral and at best do what it set out to do, and get people to actually cast their ballots.

This time, Rock the Vote called on Lil Jon to remix the club banger “Turn Down for What” into “Turn Out for What,” a catchphrase that’s supposed to inspire folks to get to the polls and vote on issues that are actually important. Lena Dunham, Fred Armisen, Sophia Bush, Ireland Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, Natasha Lyonne and more join the fun, dancing, goofing around and of course, telling us why they’re voting this election.

Sure, the video is a little ridiculous — there is no way mixing Lil Jon and the democratic process would be anything but. And naturally, since Lena is involved in the project, we get to see her doing the literal no-pants dance (as if we haven’t seen enough).

Watch the video above to see it all play out.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Is Coming Out with Its Own Clothing Line

Gwyneth Paltrow just snagged former Martha Stewart CEO Lisa Gersh to helm Goop and it looks like a change of leadership isn’t going to be the only thing different about the site. Goop has been pretty successful, thanks in large part to the luxe apparel, beauty and homewares peddled from the destination’s “shop” channel. You can take your pick of designer exclusives crafted for the site. Cynthia Rowley, Diane von Furstenberg, Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney and more have all partnered with Goop to create capsule collections, but it looks like Gwyneth is ready to let Goop spread its wings and put out creations of its own.

Gersh revealed that one of the major projects she’ll be taking on as new CEO is launching a Goop clothing line. According to Reuters, the offerings will start out as mostly basics, before branching out into home and beauty. Goop offered a line of wardrobe staples with its Stella McCartney range, for which prices started at $795. If that’s any indication, you know Goop-branded duds are going to cost a pretty penny.

Still, they will sell. Love her or hate her, Gwyneth’s got something good with Goop and the clothing selection on the site is admittedly pretty darn good. Plus, it simply makes sense for the brand. Goop is six years old and has established itself as a lifestyle force to be reckoned with. Of course, it helps that its founder is a tabloid magnet who is such a perfect ambassador for the Goop lifestyle, she fails to see the impracticality of promoting a $300 a day diet for your family. To start selling its own products seems to be a natural progression for the site.

We will be patiently waiting for our first look at what Gwyneth and the gang will be offering when the time comes!

Michelle Obama Looks Absolutely Smashing on Redbook’s November Issue

Quick poll: Can you look at Michelle Obama‘s latest Redbook cover for 10 seconds without saying “yaaas?” We dare you. Because it’s impossible not to. The magazine tapped our uber-stylish FLOTUS to cover its November issue, which focuses on female veterans. For the feature article, Redbook brought five women who served in the armed forces to the White House to discuss the paltry job opportunities and financial challenges they face once they’re out of the service. The issue hopes to illuminate the troubles these women cope with, so that the transition from soldier to civilian is smoother.

Instead of outfitting her in army fatigues, MObama is dressed in a printed Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress and silver teardrop earrings. Anyone with two eyes can see Mrs. Obama looks fabulously smashing — and we are definitely digging the honey-tinged tone of her hair.

What do you think? Are you loving the cover as much as we are?

Jennifer Lawrence Addresses Nude Photo Scandal on Cover of Vanity Fair (Forum Buzz)

Amid the ongoing scandal of those leaked nude photos of celebrities stolen via their iCloud accounts online, Jennifer Lawrence is the first to speak out about her humiliation. The Hunger Games star poses for Patrick Demarchelier whilst taking a dip on location in the Hollywood Hills. Jennifer dons nothing but a diamond necklace on the cover with her hair styled effortlessly in tussled waves. Due to the media’s persistent coverage of the subject, Vanity Fair allows the cover image to do the talking and decided not the overcrowd the cover with text. Kudos!

Vanity Fair November 2014 Jennifer Lawrence

The scandal doesn’t stop our forum members from having their say. “Of course she had to be topless in a pool, Vanity Fair I despise you sometimes, you are that obvious, and cheap!! And that is really not the best face shot of her I have ever seen, why not show her in control, confident, and powerful! None of it is conveyed in this cover!” shares Miss Dalloway.

“So last month we got Robert Downey Jr, one the biggest male movie stars at the moment, looking cheeky and suave and handsome without being sexualized on the cover or in the editorial. This month we get Jennifer Lawrence, one of the biggest female movie stars of the moment…completely nude and open mouthed. Never change Vanity Fair,” comments an unimpressed fee de foret.

Benn98 appears to be on the fence: “The composition looks unfinished, but I like it. Very surprised that Patrick shot this, it’s got a nice sheen to it which accentuates the tropical backdrop.”

TaylorBinque, however, likes what he sees and writes, “It’s a beautiful image. Thank god for Demarchelier! I think the photo along with the story, it’s too literal and I just don’t feel like she’s in control. Though, I’m a fan of hers and definitely not complaining. (She has the best team and she actually has a talent to go with it.)”

“She’s so unbelievably beautiful,” compliments Kite, a clear fan of the 24-year-old American actress.

Are you a fan of the cover or is it too literal considering the circumstances? Check out a preview of Jennifer’s cover story and share your own opinion here.

Vanity Fair‘s November 2014 issue hits newsstands worldwide October 14.
