Vogue Turkey was slowly but surely getting back into our forums’ good graces, having served up a striking cover with Bella Hadid last month. The magazine now appears to have reverted back to its old ways, producing an “amateur” cover with model Andreea Diaconu. For June 2016, Turkish Vogue gets us ready for summer with Andreea wearing a black bikini from Tory Burch. The current face of H&M’s swimwear collection looks quite at home posing on a sandy beach in the company of photographer Dan Martensen. The outcome, unfortunately, seems to be lacking that special something.
Our forum members sure were in the mood for Turkish Vogue‘s new cover…at first. “I like how natural and simple this cover looks,” approved liaa straight away.
“Great for Andreea. She is so beautiful. It’s a pleasure to see her on Vogue covers,” warranted a more than content narcyza.
“I’m loving Andreea Diaconu more and more. As simple as this. She reminds me of Angela Lindvall,” pointed out Tony Fersen.
But not everyone was so satisfied. “Finally something effortless for a change. A tad too carefree for a Vogue cover though (more suited to H&M), but it’s definitely an upgrade for Vogue Turkey,” commended Benn98, the first to point out a few complaints.
“I don’t like the color scheme, everything seems to blend in together but I do like the effortless vibe,” echoed kokobombon in response.
MON wasn’t overly impressed either, sharing, “She looks gorgeous! However, this is not made for a Vogue cover. There has to be a better shot!”
In agreement was KateTheGreatest: “Very happy for Andreea, and Dan Martensen is cool too so I hope the editorial will be good. This shot is okay but it isn’t really cover material.”
