As the mainline Spring 2016 campaigns begin to disappear from the pages of our favorite glossies, the summer fragrance campaigns are now here for us to deliberate over. Lexi Boling for Prada’s Candy Kiss won over our forum members and now Givenchy’s new fragrance campaign does exactly the same. Candice Swanepoel, a model who is familiar to the iconic French fashion house, was tapped by Creative Director Riccardo Tisci to serve as the face of Givenchy’s Dahlia Divin Le Nectar perfume. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh with Carine Roitfeld on styling duties, Candice was captured on the sand dunes of Abu Dhabi for a series of campaign images.
Our forums welcomed the sight of the campaign with open arms. “That first image is gorgeous and is giving me neo-J’adore Dior with Carmen Kass vibes!” pointed out dior_couture1245 the moment the images dropped.
“Couldn’t have said it better. It’s like Mad Max meets J’adore Dior, I’m obsessed and Candice looks great here. Possibly the best I’ve ever seen her?” questioned marsnoop2 in response.
Nomar thought the same, writing, “I think this is the best I’ve seen her look.”
In agreement over how terrific the campaign turned out was zoom: “Seeing this campaign, it makes perfect sense. Took this booking with Lindbergh/Carine and Givenchy to finally bring out the full on Eva Herzigova supernova in Candice that’s been bubbling just under the surface. She’s bringing drama. She’s bringing depth. They are bringing fashion to the masses. Makes me want to buy it. Success.”
TaylorBinque shared the same sentiments, adding, “Amazing. Everything works. Probably one of the best fragrance campaign images in recent years. Dior should take note.”
“S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G!” declared an overwhelmed miguelalmeida.
“Wow love it!” GreyVetiver raved, echoing the same attitude as everyone else.
Also expressing his love for the campaign was elle_gb: “Stunning Candice is beyond beautiful she’s so edgy with class.”
Kudos Givenchy, kudos. See more and join the conversation here.
